SNAP recertification with changing income - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a mechanic and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I worked as a mechanic before this. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

Take photos of everything you send and write down the date. I had to resend one page and the record helped.
