SNAP recertification with changing income - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a janitorial supervisor and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Ask about expedited service. I was told it depends on how little cash and income you have right now.
