SNAP recertification with changing income (update)

I lost my job as a dental hygienist and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. Any experience at all would help. There are 15 people in my household. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
