SNAP recertification with changing income - any advice?

I lost my job as an IT help-desk technician and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. Any experience at all would help. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Ask about expedited service. I was told it depends on how little cash and income you have right now.

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 5 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
