SNAP recertification with changing income - any advice?

I lost my job as a medical assistant and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I worked as a medical assistant before this. I have a final pay stub, a termination letter and my unemployment approval.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
