SNAP recertification with changing income

I lost my job as a production planner and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I am in Madison, in case local advice matters. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Did they ask for anything unexpected?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
