SNAP recertification with changing income - 3 months and counting

I lost my job as a store manager and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. There are 7 people in my household. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
