SNAP after a layoff: what documents did you send? - what worked for you?

I lost my job as a bookkeeper and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. I have been trying to stay organised about it. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. Is there an expedited option for people with very little income?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 20 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
