SNAP after a layoff: what documents did you send?

I lost my job as a quality inspector and my household is applying for SNAP for the first time. Any experience at all would help. The caseworker asked for bank statements too. What did you submit and how long did approval take?

I sent my last two pay stubs, the separation letter and a bank statement. I heard back in about 17 weeks, and my county offered an interview by phone.
