Severance and unemployment, do they overlap?, retail manager here

I was offered severance of 13 weeks after being let go as a retail manager and I am unsure how it affects benefits. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I have a mortgage and need to plan. How did your state treat it?

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.
