Severance and unemployment, do they overlap?, production planner here

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. There are 16 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I also wonder about the job-search requirement. Did you file straight away?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
