Severance and unemployment, do they overlap? (Pittsburgh)

I was offered severance of 15 weeks after being let go as a data-entry clerk and I am unsure how it affects benefits. It has been a long 21 weeks. I have a mortgage and need to plan.

Rules differ by state. I called the claims line and asked directly, then wrote down the answer and the date.
