Severance and unemployment, do they overlap? - 5 months and counting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. I am in Portland, in case local advice matters. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule. How did your state treat it?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
