Severance and unemployment, do they overlap? - 13 months and counting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. It has been a long 14 weeks. I also wonder about the job-search requirement.

Some states only count certain kinds of severance. A local workforce centre could tell me which.

I filed on day one anyway and reported the severance honestly. The agency decided what to do about the timing.
