Severance and unemployment, do they overlap? - 10 months and counting

I signed a severance agreement and I am worried about how to report it. It has been a long 6 weeks. The agreement mentions a release and a payment schedule. Did you file straight away?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 10 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
