Not sure if my job search activity counts - what worked for you?

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
