Not sure if my job search activity counts - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 12 jobs a week as a customer-service rep, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
