Not sure if my job search activity counts - what worked for you?

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. I worked as a marketing coordinator before this. My state says to keep records for a year.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
