Not sure if my job search activity counts - what worked for you?

I have been applying to about 16 jobs a week as a janitorial supervisor, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been a long 11 weeks. My state says to keep records for a year.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
