Not sure if my job search activity counts (update)

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. I worked as a web developer before this. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Screenshots of the submitted application are handy backup when a posting disappears.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
