Not sure if my job search activity counts (update)

I have been applying to about 8 jobs a week as a medical assistant, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
