Not sure if my job search activity counts (update)

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as an office manager, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been a long 21 weeks. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
