Not sure if my job search activity counts (update)

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a payroll clerk, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. Any experience at all would help. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
