Not sure if my job search activity counts (Salt Lake City)

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a security officer, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Salt Lake City, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
