Not sure if my job search activity counts, nurse's aide here

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. It has been weighing on me all week. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
