Not sure if my job search activity counts, graphic designer here

I have been applying to about 13 jobs a week as a graphic designer, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I worked as a graphic designer before this. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
