Not sure if my job search activity counts - first time posting

I have been applying to about 3 jobs a week as a medical assistant, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I worked as a medical assistant before this. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
