Not sure if my job search activity counts, customer-service rep here

I have been applying to about 6 jobs a week as a customer-service rep, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. My state says to keep records for a year.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
