Not sure if my job search activity counts (Cincinnati)

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a welding apprentice, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been a long 6 weeks. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
