Not sure if my job search activity counts

I have been applying to about 4 jobs a week as an office manager, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
