Not sure if my job search activity counts - any advice?

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. What do you record?

Check the handbook on your state's claim site. It lists what counts in my state, and workshops were on the list.

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
