Not sure if my job search activity counts - any advice?

I have been applying to about 5 jobs a week as a sales associate, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. It has been weighing on me all week. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. What do you record?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
