Not sure if my job search activity counts after 8 years as a software tester

I have been applying to about 8 jobs a week as a software tester, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I do not usually post, so bear with me. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
