Not sure if my job search activity counts

I have been applying to about 8 jobs a week as a school bus driver, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. My state says to keep records for a year. Do interviews and workshops count?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
