Not sure if my job search activity counts

I have been applying to about 17 jobs a week as a software tester, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. Thank you in advance. My state says to keep records for a year. Has anyone been audited?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
