Not sure if my job search activity counts - 7 months and counting

I have been applying to about 10 jobs a week as a copywriter, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. I am in Louisville, in case local advice matters. Some days I only network by email or attend a job fair. What do you record?

I record the date, the company, the job title, how I applied and any contact name. It takes a minute each and it covered me when I was asked for proof.
