Not sure if my job search activity counts - 5 months and counting

I have been applying to about 5 jobs a week as a software tester, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. Any experience at all would help. I also did a résumé workshop at the library. Do interviews and workshops count?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
