Not sure if my job search activity counts - 3 weeks in

I am keeping a spreadsheet of applications, but I worry it is not what the agency expects. It has been a long 3 weeks. My state says to keep records for a year. What do you record?

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.
