Not sure if my job search activity counts

I have been applying to about 8 jobs a week as an accounts payable clerk, but I am unsure what my state wants in the log. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I also did a résumé workshop at the library.

I was asked for my log once, after six months. Having it in a spreadsheet made it painless.

Check the handbook on your state's claim site. It lists what counts in my state, and workshops were on the list.
