My first unemployment payment still has not arrived - first time posting

I filed my claim 10 weeks ago after being let go as an accounts payable clerk. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. Is there a step I could have missed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 8 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
