My first unemployment payment still has not arrived

I applied for unemployment in Birmingham 5 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. Is there a step I could have missed?

Mine took about 5 weeks because of an identity check I did not notice. Look for a message or a letter you may have missed in your online account.
