My first unemployment payment still has not arrived - any advice?

I filed my claim 6 weeks ago after being let go as a paralegal. It has been a long 6 weeks. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. What would you check first?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
