My first unemployment payment still has not arrived after 8 years as an insurance claims processor

I applied for unemployment in Buffalo 17 weeks ago and the status page still says pending. I am in Buffalo, in case local advice matters. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Is there a step I could have missed?

Check the messages section of your claim, not just the dashboard. That is where my request for more information was hiding.
