My first unemployment payment still has not arrived after 8 years as a medical assistant

I filed my claim 18 weeks ago after being let go as a medical assistant. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I called the state line four times and only reached a recording. What would you check first?

Check the messages section of your claim, not just the dashboard. That is where my request for more information was hiding.

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
