My first unemployment payment still has not arrived after 6 years as a barista

I was laid off as a barista and filed right away, and I have been certifying every week. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. What would you check first?

Check the messages section of your claim, not just the dashboard. That is where my request for more information was hiding.

Mine took about 8 weeks because of an identity check I did not notice. Look for a message or a letter you may have missed in your online account.
