My first unemployment payment still has not arrived - 9 months and counting

I filed my claim 6 weeks ago after being let go as an electrician's helper. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. What would you check first?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
