My first unemployment payment still has not arrived - 8 weeks in

I filed my claim 8 weeks ago after being let go as a line cook. I am in Louisville, in case local advice matters. I answered every question and uploaded my final pay stub. What would you check first?

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
