My first unemployment payment still has not arrived - 4 months and counting

I filed my claim 21 weeks ago after being let go as an event coordinator. Thank you in advance. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. Is there a step I could have missed?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

When I finally got through, the agent said my employer had responded late. Once that cleared, back pay came in one payment.
