My first unemployment payment still has not arrived

I filed my claim 18 weeks ago after being let go as a retail manager. There are 9 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. The page shows my claim as open but no payment date. What would you check first?

Mine took about 18 weeks because of an identity check I did not notice. Look for a message or a letter you may have missed in your online account.

Check the messages section of your claim, not just the dashboard. That is where my request for more information was hiding.
