Losing employer insurance, where should I look? - what worked for you?

My employer coverage ended at the end of the month and I am trying to work out what to do as a logistics coordinator. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I think my income this year might qualify for a subsidy. What did you choose and how was the process?

Compare the monthly price with the deductible. A cheap plan with a huge deductible can cost more if you need care.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
